Payroll is certified for a specific Period of Performance. UW-Madison has two Periods of Performance, which are (1) January through June, and (2) July through December. The actual dates of each period align with the biweekly pay periods.
The time during which payroll is certified is called the Certification Window. Each window lasts for 3 months and begins a month or more after its corresponding Period of Performance.
The first 6 weeks of the window comprise the Pre-Review Period for Compensation Compliance Coordinators.
The second 6 weeks comprise the PI Certification Period.
